Big Springs - (Area 16) - Salmon showing at Big Springs at 55-65 ft. of water.  
Anchovies and meal worms best.  Rainbows are also getting active in this area.

West Shore - (Area 6-9) -  Areas 7 through 9  - fish the old riverbed outside of
Plumas Pines Resort for rainbows.  Bait fishing best.

Rock Jetties - (Area 7a) - Just north of 7a - good for bank fishermen
mornings and late evenings.  

Hamilton Branch - North East Shore - (Area 1) -  Power House still the best
fishing spot for rainbows and browns.  Some salmon showing. 2-1/2 to 4 lb.

Fishing Access  Area now open.  Restroom and picnic tables available.  
Handicap accessible.

Recreation Area 1 - (Area 13 & 14) -   Most trollers catching rainbows and
browns 2-1/2 to 4 lbs.  Bait fishermen doing well at the Osprey Nest.

Recreation Area 2 - (Area 12) - Bait fishing for rainbows and browns. Jigging
works best early morning.
 Trollers catching rainbows 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 lbs.  Troll
the area around the point.


East Shore - (Areas 2-3) - Salmon are being caught on the east shore in the
deep holes - 55 - 65 ft.  Rainbows and browns are also being caught trolling.

Canyon Dam - (Areas 3, 4 & 5) - Cardiac Cove bank fishermen scoring on
browns and rainbows.  

Lake Almanor Smallmouth Bass -- Bass  very active around most points and
stumps.

July 7th.  
The Canyon Dam Boat Ramp will remain open.
